The Holy Constable D. Nuno Álvares Pereira is a remarkable and unique personality in our history. An intelligent, skillful and insightful figure who knew how to defend the Portuguese nation, remaining at so many times a reference in military terms, we remember the Battle of Atoleiros or the Battle of Aljubarrota that defined the kingdom's independence.
