ORIENTAL ASTROLABE
The astrolabe is considered one of the most iconic instruments of astronomical navigation. This 17th-century planispheric astrolabe was made by Diya ‘al Din Muhammad (Lahore, 1647). The original piece is housed in the Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum, Chicago.
