Frigate D. Fernando II e Glória - Restoration and Recovery

"(...) Portugal, par excellence a seafaring nation, (...) has a 19th-century frigate, one of only four still in existence.
The «D. Fernando II e Glória», the last ship to be built at the Royal Arsenal of Damao, was also the last ship of the Portuguese Navy to sail exclusively under sail and the last to make the India Run.
(...) After its partial destruction in the fire of 1963, it was not until 1990 that the restoration of the ship could begin, with widespread support from the Portuguese people, now fully aware of the need to save this unique example of their historical and cultural heritage.
