In 2017, Guta de Carvalho had the privilege of accompanying the school ship "Sagres" on its voyage to Brazil as a photographer, as part of the support provided for the commemoration of Portugal Day in Rio de Janeiro. This work, which reflects the fascinating moments of that adventure, resulted from the photographs taken.
In the same year, the ship completed 80 years, 55 of which were in service to the Portuguese Navy. A living testament to Portuguese historical memory and its connection to the sea, this symbolic ship still plays an important role as an itinerant ambassador for Portugal around the world.
