The Amazōnia bowls are part of a collection that results from a joint effort between Bordallo Pinheiro and the Brazilian NGO Ecoarts Amazônia, aimed at preserving an environmental, cultural, social, and scientific heritage crucial for the future of humanity. Each piece was created based on the incredibly rich local flora and was only possible thanks to the intense sharing of knowledge with those who live daily in this vibrant mosaic of ecosystems, customs, colours, sounds, and smells that is the Amazon rainforest. Part of the collection's proceeds will go towards reforesting the Amazonian area of Mato Grosso, through the planting of native fruit trees in cities, rural areas, and indigenous villages in the region where Ecoarts Amazônia operates.
